entered the bedroom of the King secretly through the balcony and asked Trico to stay outside. Max saw the King was sleeping on the bed. He walked near the bed and said, “King, please wake up.” The King was awaking once Max entered. He wanted to see what the little boy wanted to do. So, he pretended to be very surprised and said, “Who are you? Why are you here? I should call the guard.” Max stopped him immediately and said, “No, please don’t. Sorry for my…my offense but I have no malice. I…I’m here to beg you not to harm Trico. He’s my friend.” “Kid, you’re so kind. I appreciate you. Okay, but can you let me see your dragon?” Max was so happy. “It’s my pleasure.” Trico walked in from the balcony. Once the King saw Trico, his eyes were shining with a greedy light. “Wow, what a beautiful dragon…Guards!” Max was shocked and shouted, “What? You’ve said not to harm Trico!” “Yes. I promised you, but I didn’t say not to catch it.” The King laughed loudly. The guards surrounded them. Max was panic and afraid. “Kid, here’s a lesson for you. But it’s also the last lesson you can have. Guards, kill him.” An arrow penetrates Max left shoulder. The blood gushed out and Max fell onto the ground. Trico became very angry. He started to shoot the fire to everywhere. After it defeated the army, it came near Max and looked at him. A tear dropped. “Hold on, Max. You’ll be fine.” Max looked at Trico unbelievably. “Is that you, Trico?” Trico nodded its head. “You can talk…It’s awesome.” Max smiled and said weakly. Soon, he burst into tear and apologized, “I’m so sorry about this. I can’t protect you.” “No. You did your best. Thank you so much.” Trico bite his wings and dropped some blood on the wound of Max. Unimaginable thing happened, the wound was healing quickly. “Let’s go back home.” Trico put Max onto its back, flew out the castle and disappeared in the darkness. When the King returned, there was nothing left but only crumbling fences and dilapidated walls. A few months later, Trico told Max, “Max, it’s time to say goodbye. I must find my family. I’m a dragon.” Since the accident, they lived inside a forest. No one could find them. After a while, Max looked at the ground and said, “I will always miss you.” Trico sent Max back to his family. Max stood in front of the door. Trico turned around and flew away. That night, Max dreamed that he was living with Trico again. Trico gave him a feather from its wings. When Max woke up, the pillow was wet. Besides, there was a feather on it. It was a sunny day.
