o, we don’t have enough money to go to Shanghai, my dear’ ‘But I want to because many people had went
there and they said it was good’ ‘No, now go back to bed,’ ‘But……’ Dora’s mom cut in the sentence
‘Now!’ Without listening, Dora ran back to her room and cried. ‘Seems like you guys argued again!’ Dad went in
the house. ‘Dora likes to go to Shanghai so let her’ dad continued, ‘I am sure that she will go to Shanghai, and one
day stop asking for it’ mom answered, ‘Really’ dad replied, they both looked at the window.
‘Dora, Dora, wake up!’ a voice came out of a shadow. Dora slowly sat up and saw a large dragon above her
blanket, she shouted’ Mom, dad, a large dragon appeared on my blanket!’ ‘Sh……’ whispered the dragon’ I will
take you to Shanghai for a tour’ Dora was so happy, she shouted’ REALLY!’ ‘Sh……’ the water dragon saw Dora
felt sad again, ‘I will never get there,, mom do not let me to go there, it is too expensive for the air ticket and it is
very far…..’ ‘We will not go there by plane, but flying at my back!’ This sentence made Dora happy again, and she
ride on the water dragon’s back.
‘Wow……’ through the clouds that was shined by the sun, the Oriental Pearl Tower point through, ‘What is
that?’ asked Dora curiously, ‘It is the Oriental Pearl Tower, there are shops there inside, but most of the parts are
the radio and TV product offices. ‘Cool!’ said Dora, ‘At night, the light on the building will light up, it will be
very nice!’
‘Look,look, there is a car that sells sweets and candy that are blow up by a man?’ Dora looked happy and
confused at the same time. ‘It is called the Blown sugar, it is blown to make any shape, you can be creative at it!’
answered the water dragon, ‘Can we go down and by one?’ Dora seems to like the candy, the water dragon have
no excuse, and replied ‘OK, we will go down and buy one.’ The water dragon zoomed down to the ground and
bought one for her.
They traveled around Shanghai for a long time, they had went to see the old streets in Shanghai, temples
such as the temple of heaven, old buildings that were built a long time ago and the emperor’s house……
‘Dora, come and see.’ Said the dragon, they went up the hill, Dora was surprised about the night view of
Shanghai ‘Wow, it is so nice, especially the street there.’ ‘It is called the Nanjing road, there are many things you
can buy, eat, do, and even listen!’ replied the dragon. ‘Ha......’ Dora felt tired, ‘It is time to go back, Dora.’
The water dragon flew up, he flew towards the Huang Pu River, ‘Water dragon, what is your name?’ Dora
shouted, but then dragon didn’t hear her.
‘Wake up Dora, wake up!’ Dora sat up, it was only a dream, after breakfast, Dora looked at the window,
and said to herself ‘Water dragon, what is your name?’
