she managed. She was a very clever cat indeed. Annchi taught the kittens to survive the harsh city life. She would often tell them stories of her farm life and the kittens longed to go there someday. Then one spring afternoon some ally dogs came. The kittens were old enough to run, so Annchi signalled them to follow her. They ran through the city with the dogs at their tails and found their way back to Hangzhou bay. Luckily, there was a trader’s boat docked. Annchi and her kittens jumped in and hid under some sacking as she had done before. She checked that all her kittens were safely aboard and the boat set sail. When it finally docked, Annchi and her kittens waited till the trader and his men moved away. When they stepped out of the boat, Annchi realised they had landed in a familiar place, at least to Annchi. She walked her kittens along a path she knew well which lead them to the farm. Oh! And how happy were the farmer’s family and her sisters were to see her and her kittens. Annchi felt a burst of joy in her heart as she heard the little girl giggle. The family was together again.
