Black Shadow feeds on fear, fear makes him stronger and courage makes him weaker, so the get-well pills can
help take fear away and replace it with courage. We have to help the people in Shanghai to rebuild their courage,
a village shall do.”
“Oh, my village has lots of people, I can take you there!” said Xiao Tong. “Oh, okay,”
Grace replied.
“We must have courage in this desperate time!” shouted Grace to the villagers. Xiao Tong and Grace had
gathered the scared villagers together and were shouting words of encouragement to them. “She’s right!”
shouted Xiao Tong, “We can’t hide in our homes every day!”
“They’re right!” murmured the villagers, “We
can do nothing but sit on our beds and chairs every day!” We’re with you!” chanted the villagers.
After the villagers had renewed courage, Grace and Xiao Tong walked away from the village. Grace said, “Black
Shadow should appear now and then, cause courage lures Black Shadow out.” “Why?” asked Xiao Tong. “I
don’t know,” Grace replied. “Oh, I see,” said Xiao Tong.
Suddenly, an evil cackle rang through the air. It was Black Shadow! He had arrived! “It is time for my duel with
him. Do not try to help no matter what,” Grace instructed. “But……” Xiao Tong was too shocked to say
anything. Grace called out, “Black Shadow, where are you? I’ll capture you this time!” “Capture me? Try!”
hissed a voice. Xiao Tong spun around and saw Grace facing a 3D shadow! Grace acted fast. She sent
thousands of balls of fire toward him, but he was fast as well. Black Shadow dodged every one of them. Then
Black Shadow sent his pets – which included 100 poisonous snakes, 80 scorpions, 20 rats – at Grace, but Grace
simply turned them back against him. The duel lasted for hours and hours. Finally, Grace took out her magic
gourd. She called Black Shadow’s name in it. Black Shadow started to feel an invisible force sucking him into the
gourd. He yelled and he screamed but he was eventually sucked into it. Grace put the cork into place and sealed
it with superglue. “ Black Shadow is finally captured!” Grace cried out loud.
A messenger came. He said happily, “The Japanese has surrendered!” “ Hurray!” Grace and Xiao Tong cried.
Xiao Tong lived with Grace after that. They had put history back on the right track. All was well.
