her head. “So sorry ladies. I’ll leave you alone now.” The lady scurried back to her desk. “That was close,” whispered Sara. Ava simply walked off as a reply. She had spotted the jazz band. Ava beckoned for Sara to join her. When Sara did, she saw the jazz band as well. The girls smiled at each other, then sat down to listen to the beautiful jazz music. Suddenly, something caught Sara’s eye. She didn’t know what it was, but it looked like something she wanted to see. It was the time machine! Ava saw it too, and she quickly followed Sara. When Ava reached the time machine, Sara was already inside and was about to press the button. Ava just had time to scramble inside the time machine and sit down, before it started spinning. It went faster, and faster, until they were back in 2016. “Ava, Sara, what are you doing on the ground?” asked a familiar voice. It was Dad. The girls got up, and instead of being sarcastic like they would have been in this situation, they simply gave their father a hug. Dad didn’t really understand this sudden passion, since just 2 minutes ago they were complaining about how boring the paintings were. In fact, the girls were really tired after their big adventure, but it didn’t matter. They were back where they belonged - in 2016, with their parents. Everything was right in the end!
