Buns. The delicious food makes my mouth water even today. After dinner, we took taxi to the Bund. The Bund or Waitan is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The area centers on a section of ZhongShan Road. It has beautiful views of Shanghai and runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The view made me feel happy. The Shanghai Bund has dozens of historical buildings lining the Huangpu River, and once housed numerous banks and trading houses from the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Italy, Russia, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, and Belgium. I gasp at the beauty of it. The view from the Bund is a merit to Shanghai and a major attraction. I swear it won’t disappoint you. At night, the light from the skyscrapers and old British-styled buildings combined with the old iron-steel bridge and avenues form a unique visual angle revealing a vivid city. This Shanghai journey allowed me to learn more about the blending of the Western culture with the Chinese culture. I love Shanghai so much.
