Jorge Canahuati Larach

His path to the presidency of Grupo Opsa began in 1979, when he held the position of advertising assistant. Later he worked as sales manager, assistant general manager and general manager.

He is an entrepreneur of Palestinian origin was born in the United States and consolidated his economic power in the area of communications, current owner and president of group OPSA La Prensa, El Heraldo, Diez, Estilo also with heavy investments in the bottling sector, food franchises and pharmaceutics.

Son of Honduran parents, Jorge Shibli Canahuati Larach was born in Chicago in 1956. He attended his secondary school at La Salle High School in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. In Ruston, Louisiana graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

In 1986, a year after the death of his grandfather, he assumed the presidency of Grupo OPSA. He was barely 30 years old and had all the enthusiasm to mark the beginning of a new stage of the family business.
