He shares this residence with his lovely wife, Minister Patricia Mulberry Banks. They are the parents of Charles Durant, Glen R., Latonya, Tequilia, and Jermaine His church affiliation is Jerusalem Church of God by Faith and favorite Scripture is Psalms 91:1. He is often heard saying “You all are going to listen to me one day!” As a faithful employee, he worked for forty-four (44) years as a Rehabilitation Tech at Shand’s Hospital-Gainesville, Florida. In our community, farming was a usual occurrence and the children played their part in the work of the family. “I starting farming as a boy while helping and being taught by my father the importance of farming and giving. I continue to farm helping my father in my adult years. Once my father couldn’t farm any longer, I took over the farming responsibilities. During those years, my father and I farmed and shared our corps generously with the community by giving to the ones who were in need. My father taught us to give large portions to all so that nothing would spoil in the field. We harvested greens, various types of peas, okra, corn, watermelons, cantaloupes (shaped like a football) and livestock such as goats and cows. Every community should continue Farming. Without food to sustain us we would die. Farming and farmers, our food providers, with the help of God, are the necessary pillars of every community.
