JS: Hi Chris, thank you for this opportunity for us to discuss your work. I first became aware of your art in 2015 when Homosurrealism held a show at the MODA in Hollywood. Very interested that you were an ex-porn star, musician, and author. But if you don't mind, today I'd like to discuss your new book Body to Job, which I have just finished. It's amazing.
I enjoyed the book from the get go. However, it really got to me when you talked about your first student film. A fellow student had shared his work in the same class you were in. The others felt that it was camp and started laughing. But it wasn't supposed to be...
This demonstrated to me the essence of art. You put yourself out there and get unexpected feedback. When you were a porn star (Danny Wylde), did you consider your movies to be art or just porn. Or, is there a difference?
