After Once upon a [Q], Quistory and ArtHistoryPics, newQ is a QUEER homo (erotic) photographic diversion questioning social roles

that draws inspiration from the history of art and from our contemporary era.

​It questions social and religious determinism, gender issues, political correctness, and a simplistic heteronormative view of society.

This is an empirical study that claims otherness, by opposing exclusion.

​​ArtHistoryPics is resistance against moral order and the doctrinaire approach.

Born in 1962 in Brussels, writer, photographer, and art historian, François Harray is interested by gender questions via writing and art photography. Former editor and director of the “Iced tea” collection at the Labor publishing house, he is also the author of several novels and anthologies of short stories. In terms of the visual arts, his ArtHistoryPics concept offers variations on major works from art history and our contemporary era as photographic images.
