Santa’ s elves share their magical fairy dust to light the holiday tree.
Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, meet Santa and get a picture on the fire truck. The Dayton Police Department caught the Grinch, who will be posing for pictures, but he doesn’ t always like being told what to do.
The city is also serving up holiday treats including mini donuts and hot cocoa. Food trucks will also be on site.
Kids activities include making magical reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn at night.
The Magic Mailbox is also back. There will be special stationary to use to write and send Santa a letter at City Hall. Be sure all letters are dropped off by Dec. 5 to ensure Santa gets them in time. Parents make sure your child’ s envelope is addressed with their full name and address.
