St. Michael’ s WinterFest jam packed with Christmas cheer

The annual WinterFest event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, in St. Michael at Town Center Park, 11800 Town Center Drive NE. The event features many activities to spread Christmas cheer, including a visit from Santa and a real dog sled team.
The city of St. Michael, the St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club and St. Michael Lions are bringing the annual WinterFest event to St. Michael again at Town Center Park, 11800 Town Center Drive NE.
The event will be jam packed with Christmas activities on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 5 p. m. Some of the events this year are the horse wagon ride that will take people on a ride around the park and the mini golf hole design contest.
Check out the Elf Hut Mini Putt. These mini golf holes are all being entered into the Mini Golf Hole Design contest.
Compete against others to put together a sleigh the fastest with materials given in the Santa’ s Sleigh Relay. The winter warm up competition will have people giving their all at the obstacle course.
Indoor activities include visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with some reindeer and elves.
Get the chance to win some prizes at Winter Bingo provided by Family Youth Community Connections, listen to storytime provided by the St. Michael Royalty Court, pickup a jingle bell necklace and treat provided by the Crow River Senior Center, see if you can count all the snowmen during the snowmen hunt, listen to music by Tjarnblom from 3 to 4 p. m., make some crafts, take a 360 selfie and much more.
Don’ t forget to give back by bringing new or gently used toys, winter gear and non-perishible food donations. The medallion will be hidden at 2 p. m. and clues will be announced about its whereabouts at the main stage at 2, 2:30 and 3 p. m.
Travel outdoors to the fire pits to warm up and heat the marshmallows for s’ mores. Meet and snap a picture with a real dog sled team and reindeers.
Gaze upon all the holiday lights provided by SOAR Regional Arts, known as Illuminate the Night. Cookies and hot beverages provided by the Lions Club and St. Michael American Legion will be available while supplies last.
Head on over to the main stage for a performance by SOAR Regional Arts at 3:30 p. m. and the announcement of the Snowmen Hunt and medallion hunt winners at 4:30 p. m.
The event will end near the main stage when community members will behold the holiday tree lighting ceremony, participate in the holiday sing-along and learn who was awarded the 2025 Cheermeister award.
