Central Vermont’s Hometown Heroes
Welcome to another in our series; Hometown Heroes — Law Enforcement.
Our community is so very lucky to have people willing to take on some of the
toughest jobs in our society. It is our privilege to publish just a few stories
and aspects of law enforcement operations in-state and in our home towns.
As the series continues, we hope to highlight more of what these brave an
dedicated women, men and K-9s do on our behalf every day, night and day.
At times it is the worst kind of dangerous work. When you talk to those
called to do the job you hear the pride, civic commitment and caring that
drew them to their profession. It is meaningful and oftentimes very diffi cult
work. Inside you’ll fi nd stories of offi cers starting their careers and those
who have served with honor. Whether it’s a cadet or a school resource
offi cer, we see in them what it means to care for a community. You will also
fi nd, as in previous editions, that we’ve featured a list of public services for
your reference.
The Times Argus is thankful for those who answer the call to this career in
public service. We have acknowledged before that these Hero supplements
feature only a small sample of these dedicated men and women. As we
continue to produce these publications and celebrate our heroes, we will
encourage you to submit stories and photos, as we approach our next
edition. And when you see our hometown heroes, take a moment and say
thanks. They are in it for us all and thank-you means more than you know.
