ANNUAL EVENTS
Rabies Clinic held in mid-March, a Holiday food and gift drive for Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is used to
support families in East Montpelier and Calais with children in the elementary schools. The department also collects
food, gifts and money from the community and works closely with our schools, teachers, students and staff that help to
make this happen. The department also works to provide CPR classes for community groups and does fire prevention
in schools and daycare facilities.
MEETINGS/TRAINING
The department hosts public meetings and training for organizations such as State Police, Road Foreman, WCSD, Boy
Scouts, Cub Scouts and many others. This past year, the department sponsored the Cub Scouts as sponsor and regularly
hosts Boys Scouts to provide opportunities to work on first-aid badges with firefighters and to participate in the depart-
ment’s community service activities.
