Barre Town The Barre Town Fire Department serves both Barre Town and a portion of the town of Orange. It is also a member of the Capital Fire Mutual Aid System providing mutual aid to all area fire departments. BTFD operates out of two fire stations, East Barre and South Barre. Photo by Stefan Hard PUBLIC EVENTS Annual Rabies Clinic at the South Barre Station in March, Annual Father’s Day chicken BBQ at the East Barre Station, and Barre Town’s annual spring into summer festival, both in June, and just completed 61st consecutive one; several events involving Barre Town Middle and Elementary School throughout the year; Barre Heritage Festival in July. “Our annual 52 gun raffle is a big deal.
