Julie and Jeff, parents of homeschoolers Steven,
Amanda and Michael, credit Halstrom Academy for the

of school. Halstrom provides a quality education, tailored
to each student’s learning style and needs through one-to-one
online classes. According to Julie, “The kids feel more empowered,

volunteer at local community organizations.
Halstrom Academy is an excellent supplemental resource
or full-time option for homeschool students. Teachers, who are
experts in their fields, teach live online classes, face-to-face.
Students at Halstrom are required to master their course work
at 80% or higher before moving onto the next lesson. Flipped
Learning and 21st Century Skills help students create meaningful
connections with the content being learned.
Halstrom is WASC accredited and offers more than 20
AP courses in all major subject areas, UC/CSU certified lab
science courses, and numerous language courses and electives.

Halstrom Academy pioneered the one-teacher and one-student
teaching model in 1985. Since then, more than 16,000 students
have benefited from the one-to-one class sizes, flexible scheduling
options, content mastery, and a supportive environment optimized
