Love them, with pops of color. Properly scaled rooms with attention to detail in the trim, doors, windows, etc.
In your opinion, what’s the one element that every room should have? One fantastic statement piece — be it furniture, art or accessories. If you were in the market for a new home, what is the one architectural
element you would look for?
Where do you draw the line between livable and formal? There is not one, per se. I would look for a home with great bones, and that has
to do with many things — scale, trim detail, doors, windows, and ceiling height.
Every room should be comfortable, whether it is formal or informal. Plush
upholstered pieces will ensure that no matter how formal, the room will still
be comfortable.
