to smile at the discombob ulation and maybe here or there drop
a thought of the proper bearing into old age.
As children grow into adulthood, they improvise upon the
script we played out as their parents and train their skills in the
way that will enable the m to claim everything as their ow n
doing, but this, being part of the natural process , does not mea n
they have to act contrary to the will of their parents . For us, the
sight of their failures and repeated attempts might seem foolis h
rejection of certain notions, mannerisms, or systems perfected
by earlier generations, the correct adaptation of survival skills
that apply to their role as adults and parents. Doubt they'll ever
ask you what your views are, so might as well offer the m to fill
the space of your conversations with the m. Life situations tha t
nourished our adulthood have left little more than a pile o f
empty shells spread across the table, days without direction,
weeks in which days have blank spaces, and months suspended
beyond any affectionate contact with humanity.

aspects of leading a life detached fro m identification with
nuclear fa mily, intended to achieve secure individuality. Being
unidentified as ho meless, negates geopolitical affiliation and
offers ipso facto affirmation of dependency strictly upon the
survival instinct. I was able to study the patterns of behavior;
motions, sounds of people living under the dome of Urba n
Aggravation during the pre vailing circumstances of crowding,
noise, filth, and dangers of the inner city. In that situation, life's
purpose as a human is an obvious manifestation of utter
frustration with, and a conco mitant loss of faith in materialistic
aspirations. The ho meless have chosen a state of depression in
order to escape
modern
involve ments; consumption,
transportation, celebration, co mmunication, and interactio n
with anything we do as individuals concerned to eke out a huma n
experience fro m our life upon the face of the earth. And to leave
it slightly somehow improved.
