Our Contributors NATIONAL DESIGN EDITOR FOR CANADIAN HOME TRENDS Peloso Alexander Interiors www.pelosoalexander.com If my life were turned into a movie, Matt Damon would play my role. Our career paths shared the same movement between education and direction of life, but ultimately ended in a clear career choice. We both worked at being skilled at our craft, however television brought us greater notoriety. Sometimes getting through a project, feels like a war or Saving Private Ryan. We rarely want to play the same role twice or repeat the same project, so we embrace challenges like The Talented Mr. Ripley. His work on TV show Will and Grace, his sense of humour, along with his ability to “get it done” against all odds as he did in the Bourne Trilogy, makes me believe that Damon would have no difficulty playing me. We’re also similar ages, but his bank account contains a few more zeros! #justsayin’ STYLE EDITOR FOR CANADIAN HOME TRENDS Whitewash & Co. www.whitewashco.ca If I were a superhero, I would be a Disney superhero like Mary Poppins! I wish I had her purse! I would also love to have a magic wand. It would make work much easier if I could complete my design clients’ wishes on the spot! FOOD EDITOR FOR CANADIAN HOME TRENDS Mistura, Boccone Trattoria Veloce and Boccone Pronto www.massimocapra.com The funniest thing that cooks do is switch out ingredients. When you are working in a large kitchen, staff will pull pranks like switching the salt for sugar or water for vinegar. It is lots of fun until the chef finds out! DIY EDITOR FOR CANADIAN HOME TRENDS Nicholas Rosaci Interiors www.rosaci.com “My dentist was my first client after design school! I went in for a cleaning and inspired him to let me transform his new office into a sophisticated and sparkling industrial space.” Kim Bartley Design www.kimbartleydesign.com “As a child I loved everything to do with fashion and design. My grandmother owned a small boutique and I always loved putting things together in her store. Creating vignettes and rearranging furniture as a young child was like playtime for me. I was very ahead of my time.”
