Chilled Coffee
Cool off this summer with chilled
coffee drinks. The same coffee
taste you love in a cool and
refreshing drink.
coffee chilled in the fridge develops an unpleasant bitter taste. So how do you create a
delicious cold coffee beverage correctly? There are two easy ways to chill a coffee. The
key is to first start with a freshly prepared coffee.
Step 1 just add ice! Shake the coffee with ice in a metal cup or martini shaker or pour coffee
over ice cubes. Try frosting the cup or shaker in the freezer prior to use for a faster chill.
To prevent the drink from becoming too watered down, you can start with an extra strong
coffee or freeze coffee into ice cubes to use when cooling a fresh coffee.
Step 2 Give it a bath! pour hot coffee into a metal cup and place the cup in an ice bath. Dip
a metal spoon in and out of the full cup to help the drink cool faster. TIP: Add a little salt to
the ice bath! Salt can help lower the temperature of the ice causing the coffee to cool faster.
