What’s New, What’s Next
The seventh annual ‘What’s
New, What’s Next’ event was
held in New York City on
September 17th, 2015, at the
iconic Design and Decorating
building called the D and D
or 200 Lex. This is a much
anticipated event which has
become a benchmark for
introducing new products
and celebrating the very best
in design. I had the pleasure
of attending various designer
panels, presentations and
product launches.

Fall Home Show
The Fall Home Show was
attended by thousands of people
from October 1st to 4th, and
as always, it was a great source
for decorating and renovating
inspiration. I had the honour of
being asked to speak, as well
as participate, in two charity
events (Table-tastic for Habitat
for Humanity and Chair Affair
for The Furniture Bank). Realizing
that summer is over, we walked
the show and gleaned lots of
inspiration and knowledge to
bring to our next renovation or
decoration projects.

Colour of the Year by Benjamin Moore
The journey to determine the colour of
the year is one of much introspection
and examination. It could have been any
colour, and this particular choice was a
sleeper hit. Simply White (OC 117) by
Benjamin Moore, a shade which captures
the simplicity and purity of what our
lives should be rather than madness and
confusion. It was unveiled at an event
for the design and media community on
October 7th, at the pristine, white loft
above Andrew Richard Designs.
