Business leader Jollyn Mwisongo is living her dream — and building a better future while she does it . Mwisongo is president and CEO of ACARI Management Group . The firm specializes in program and construction management , helping clients fill specific roles .
ACARI has grown its client roster over the last decade to include Arlington ISD and the Texas Rangers . The team hired ACARI to help ensure minority-and women-owned businesses were represented on the job site at the new Globe Life Field .
Mwisongo said she sees now her parents were encouraging her to dream big . And Arlington has given her that chance .
" The American Dream to me is business growth , family growth and personal growth ," Mwisongo said . " I find that in Arlington ."
" I am very proud to see that Arlington is part of that movement , that initiative of always advocating and promoting minority businesses ," Mwisongo said .
Little did she know , she was being trained for a leadership role at a young age .
" Back in Tanzania , my parents ran a poultry farm , of which all of their daughters were exposed and made to run the business ," Mwisongo said . " I didn ' t understand back then how important those life lessons were ."
