Construction on the transformative Texas Live ! entertainment complex in Arlington ’ s Entertainment District is well under way thanks to hardworking contractors such as TinMan Enterprises .

The black woman-owned company has been contracted to provide structural and miscellaneous steel for the $ 250 million project , which will open near AT & T Stadium and Globe Life Park later this year . Texas Live ! is the first major project in Arlington and in Tarrant County for Fort Worth-based TinMan Enterprises , which employees 15 people .
“ As a local contractor , we were very excited to hear about the Texas Live ! project . We recognize the economic impact this project will have on the region for years to come . Furthermore , it is a wonderful opportunity to help local Minority Business Enterprises like TinMan Enterprises to build capacity ,” said owner Tracy Green .

The City of Arlington is working with the Texas Rangers and The Cordish Companies to ensure the diversity of the workforce for both the future ballpark and the Texas Live ! development .

Texas Live !

$ 8.1 million , or 84 percent of the total awarded contact dollars , has been awarded to minority and women-owned businesses as of January 2018 .

Globe Life Field

$ 20.2 million , or 15 percent of total awarded contract dollars , has been awarded to MWBE firms as of December 2017 .
TinMan Enterprises was conceived after Tim Delce , an experienced professional welder , recognized a void in the Fort Worth market for specialists in security gates , pipe fencing and custom ornamental fencing . In 2002 , Green acquired a majority stake in TinMan Enterprises , bringing her engineering and business expertise to expand the company , which now also provides steel fabrication and installation .
The Texas Rangers and The Cordish Companies have made a commitment that Texas Live ! will serve as a model project creating maximum community benefits to the City of Arlington and its residents . The partnership ’ s Community Benefits Plan includes the creation of 3,025 new jobs ; a 25 percent MWBE goal for the construction of the project ; apprenticeships ; local and diverse workforce hiring ; community event bookings ; and , the creation of a Community Advisory Committee .
Green said TinMan Enterprises made a bid to work on the Texas Live ! project after learning about opportunities through the National Association of Minority Contractors .
“ For us , the Texas Live ! project is one of the first projects to demonstrate a tangible commitment to ensuring meaningful inclusion and diversity ,” Green said .
