“From where it is when I first got the job to where it is
now is pretty baffling to me,” Woodward said. “I can’t
wait to see in another year what it looks like.”
About 1,300 workers are at the site daily, building a
state-of-the-art, retractable roof ballpark, in the heart
of Arlington’s world-class Entertainment District.
The first section of the retractable roof is now
complete and will be in place by the end of June.
Permanent water and power sources are also
available now, giving crews the chance to install
kitchen equipment, restroom fixtures and air
conditioning units.
The four-story office building, on the southeast side of
the construction site, is now 80 percent complete.
HKS is the design architect for the project and
Manhattan Construction Company is the construction
manager.
Work at Globe Life Field is 65 percent complete, with
the ballpark set to open in March 2020.
