Since its inception, the company has grown to include full MEP engineering services. The company was selected to help design the food service areas within the new climate- controlled ballpark in Arlington, as well as portions of the Rangers’ new office building. The ballpark is just the latest in the company’s growing portfolio, which includes senior living, higher education, healthcare and other facilities. “Our vision is to be the best collaborative design firm now and into the future. We understand that there is no substitution for quality and have built our business around this,” Short said. “Client satisfaction is our upmost commitment to our clients, and we have realized this best through a collaborative team approach regardless of the delivery method.” “It was a huge feather in our cap. The key to Acts 29 being selected as the minority entity over all the others that had longer resumes was due to our culture of collaboration,” said Matt Short, Acts 29 Consulting president. “It just proves that you don’t have to be the biggest or most well known to be good at what you do.” Acts 29 Consulting, which has 13 employees, has a passion for working with the community. It launched in 2008 as a quality assurance/quality control MEP engineering consulting firm, The retractable-roof ballpark, which opens next March, isn’t Acts 29 Consulting’s only Arlington project. The company also designed more than 30 projects at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, Short said. Acts 29 Consulting commended the City of Arlington and the Texas Rangers for their commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses to participate in the ballpark construction. “The City and the Rangers are benefactors of a diverse audience.
