HOUSEHOLD EMERGENCIES

Air-conditioning problems

There are two main types of air conditioning: central systems and single-room units. Both circulate clean air that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Problems with central air conditioners are generally best dealt with by an airconditioning specialist, but you can usually perform basic maintenance of room units yourself, such as checking thermostat settings, cleaning the filter, repositioning the sensor, and cleaning the condenser.
