Quantitative fFN® Launch Success in Australia Aussie-record: 41 New MyoSure® Users in One Quarter International Women’s Day Celebrated in Cameroon The Australian diagnostics team is pleased to report that it has reached the mark of 20 Rapid fFN® 10Q system placements since the quantitative test was launched in Sydney in September 2013 with leading obstetrician, Professor Andrew Shennan from King’s College London. Prof. Shennan made the 24-hour journey to present his published research and chair the inaugural ANZ fFN Advisory Board meeting. Not shy of a record or two, the Australian and New Zealand team created local history in Q1 2014, by adding 41 new MyoSure users to its 100+ strong list of gynecologists now offering the procedure. That’s about 16 percent of gynecologists who perform operative hysteroscopy in the ANZ region that now use MyoSure. Managing Director, Holly Simmonds and Director of Surgical Sales, Corey Vella, would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the ANZ surgical sales team who have been relentless in their enrollment of new users for MyoSure® and Aquilex.® Each year, on March 8—International Women’s Day—the women of Cameroon show their joy and gratitude for the help of such partners as Deutsche Kamerun-Hilfe and Hologic. Many weeks in advance of International Women’s Day, women throughout the area sew traditional clothes and create posters and banners. When the day finally comes, they join the long parades through the streets of Yaoundé donned in their costumes and holding their signs. They have the opportunity to present themselves and their various organizations and businesses to the governor, who also gives a speech. There is a lot of dancing and laughing during this day celebrating women, which, sadly, in many other countries, barely attracts any attention. Learn more here. Predominately a QuikCheck fFN™ market for the past 10 years, the introduction of quantitative fFN has allowed the Australian team to overcome some significant competitive obstacles, resulting in the conversion of six Actim Partus accounts. So far customer feedback has been very positive; customers say that it’s easy to use, fast and they love the printout of results, which gives them more meaningful information to help manage positive patients more effectively. An innovative placement scheme unique to the Australian market was introduced to allow greater accessibility to the test. This involved an installation offer of an evaluation loan agreement based on a volume commitment within a 12-month period. A big shout out to Jackie Cruickshank and Sarah Field, for their invaluable support and guidance to ensure this successful launch in Australia—and especially to Sarah who traveled with Professor Shennan from the UK to assist with all launch events and sales activities.
