Chris Zebrowski is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Loughborough University, where he teaches courses in International Relations, Security Studies, and International Crisis Management. He is also a member of the International Collaboratory on Critical Methods in Security Studies (ICCM) where he has conducted research on novel methods for the study of complexity, time and temporality. Chris’ research analyses the concept of resilience in the context of the changing rationalities and practices of risk management and security. Methodologically, this has involved pairing extensive archival research into the history of British emergence management with a comprehensive analysis of contemporary emergency response strategies. He has also worked closely with Civil Contingency practitioners in the UK to study how the concept of resilience is enacted in the context of emergency preparedness exercises. 45
