With its rich soil in the Gangantic plains and mineral reserves in the plateau areas, Bihar nurtured not only human civilisation but also world religions such as Buddhism and Jainism.
It is named Bihar after "Vihar", the place where Buddhist monks and scholars used to live. Being the cradle of education and culture, it also had the faous and oldest university namely "Nalanda University".
Primarily Bihar has been a agarian-economy and there have been the kings like Ashoka the Great, Vishnugupt during whose rule it saw its glory. The current Bihar located in eastern part of India(south- east Asia) has many destinations that still make one feel blissful owing to their rich historical, cultural and spiritual heritage.
This webpage is completely based on the actual travelled experience of me and my family. In the coming days I will reorganise all the information in a way that may help many of you when you also plan to be there.
