Like our fellow travel-lovers , we ’ ve spent the past few months living out some of our post-Covid travel bucket lists . Feels good to pull out that passport again ! We ’ ve refamiliarised ourselves with long-time loves , such as Thailand , Bali , and The Whitsundays , and discovered new favourites ( including a few of Europe ’ s hidden gems ) to share this issue .
Writer Matt Brace jetted off to the Arctic Circle , braving a close encounter with a snowdrift to bring us the real scoop on Santa ’ s village , while Natalie Bannister returned to Singapore and Japan to show us why they ’ re two of the hottest destinations for 2023 . There ’ s also a tonne of local inspiration to be found in our Queensland honeymoon road trip ( honeymoon optional , it ’ s just perfect for two ).
We ’ re happy to report there are many more romantic travel adventures in store for 2023 – and we can ’ t wait to share them via this new digital magazine format !
That ’ s right , after 25 years of publishing Australia ’ s leading romance travel magazine in print , we ’ re honouring the changes Covid brought to us all by evolving Holidays for Couples to this modern , instant-access format . Will we return to print ? Possibly . But that will depend on feedback from you , our loyal readers .
You told us through the pandemic that you LOVED the chance to read past issues of your favourite travel magazine instantly - and share pages and stories with friends and family . You also told us that you loved downloading the entire magazine in PDF format ( if you haven ’ t discovered this yet , look for the arrow facing downward on the control panel ) to file for inspiration . This feedback is part of what steered us towards a fresh format we hope you ’ ll love as much as we do .
