We couldn’t wait to see what was up with
Meridian, Mississippi’s own hit making
hiphop artist/producer Lostarr. Lostarr
began his music career producing beats and
hooks at the early age of 16. Throughout his
music career he has worked with several
local and national artists, some of which are
on top of the game right now. We spoke
about influences and who we thought
inspired or motivated us most in the
industry, Lostarr told us "I would like to
work with Birdman because he's a genius, as
well as a true business man. I respect him
and I’m motivated by him.” His #1 HNS
Radio song "Rags to Riches" ft. Meek Mills
and Yo Gotti, put him on the HNS Magazine
radar. And when we asked him about his
most memorable career moment, we were
surprised to discover that the Rags to Riches
hit was so far just another highlight to add
with his song collaborations. Lostarr has
collaborated with artists such as Big Krit,
Rocko, Youngscooter, Boo (CTE), Slim
Thugg, Lil Boosie, Bohagon, and more. His
proudest achievement he said was the
success of his World Star video release OG
Cush Feat. Supa Mane, Moe D, Korleon,
Bohagon. It hit over 2 million hits on World
Star in just one day. HNS agrees that’s
amazing and almost unheard of for an
independent artist. We just had to meet up
with Lostarr for a few questions….

What quality do you feel you have that
sets you aside from others in your
profession? “The quality that sets me apart
from others is what I rap about is real life and I
make my own beats. Making music comes easy
to me. I'm hitting clubs, meeting with people in
different states, so that I can speak my dreams
into existence.”
Are there any upcoming projects you
would like to discuss? “I am about to drop
album OverWorked Underpaid which has a
track featuring Meek Mill and Yo Gotti. We shot
a video and it's finally ready, so look out for it.”
