Wow , another fabulous year for the SNU crew . A �������� ���������� ���� ���� ��������� ����� ��� ���� Guthrie Smith Outdoor Education Centre . Our guys absolutely amazed us as they consistently pushed themselves , giving everything a go . The high-ropes were by far the scariest , but this did not deter our team – many of them climbed right to the top and managed to walk across the tight rope to the other side ! This was but one of the many obstacles to overcome , including spaghetti tangle , kayaking , and �������������������������������������������
COVID-19 did throw us a curve ball but we stepped up to this by giving our students a daily timetable of activities to do online which was very successful . We also held daily zooms , which was a great way
of catching up with each other ’ s news and give each other a bit of cheek .
This year we split our junior and senior students into two different groups as they are doing different programmes . Our juniors are called our ‘ Core ’ class , and our seniors the ‘ Lifeskills ’ class . The Core class focussed on numeracy and literacy skills , along with topics , options in mainstream , PE , music and lifeskills . The Lifeskills class have been busy hosting lunches , going shopping , doing work experience , volunteering , and lots of going out into the community .
