Prospects are Looking Up Future Prospect is the non-auditioned boys choir at Havelock North High School . It is well known throughout the Hawke ’ s Bay for its comedic and often surprising performances that are presented with high quality and confidence . We have such fun using props , such as the homemade ‘ tea chest bass ’ and using actions to make our repertoire come alive for the audience and we are always well received for our efforts ! Future Prospect has had a great 2022 year because it is the first year since 2019 that Covid hasn ’ t prevented them from performing .
At the regional Big Sing competition this year , Future Prospect was selected to go to the Cadenza Music Festival in Whanganui . They were well received and did incredibly well and came home with a Korimako Award which is the Cadenza equivalent of silver . As a Year 13 student , this has been my last year of choir and I have enjoyed my time with the fellow members under the leadership of Mr Christensen . All the best for the choir ’ s future endeavours .
