After a disappointing year in 2020 , Havelock Singers , Havelock North High School ’ s all comers choir , came into 2021 in full force . Yet again under the guidance of Mr Joe Christensen we worked on finding the way to sing notes the best along with preparing for the annual Big Sing competition . This year we performed “ Wairua Tapu ” as our New Zealand piece , accompanied with sign language , “ For the Fallen ” as our choral art piece , and “ Didn ’ t My Lord ” as our director ’ s choice . Despite our school music festival being cancelled , Havelock
Singers found ourselves improving in our skills and working even more as a team . As a non-auditioned choir , Havelock Singers is a perfect opportunity to experience the choirs of the school and experience performing on stage as well . Havelock Singers , as per usual , has always been a fun part of the school year .
