If you have a desire to delve into the depths of computer games and investigate how they work , then this is the ideal course for you . You will need an interest in and flair for programming , maths , and solving complex problems . You should enjoy playing a variety of computer games and you may even have designed a few games of your own .
Entry Requirements
You should have successfully completed a precourse assessment and possess one of the following :
Two Highers at Grade C or above in Maths , Computing Science , Graphic Communication or any Science / Technology subject ; plus four National 5s at Grade B or above , one of which must be Maths
Foundation Apprenticeship : Information Technology : Software Development SCQF Level 6 plus National 5 Maths at Grade B or above
Advanced Certificate or National Certificate : Computer Games Development SCQF Level 6 plus National 5 Maths at SCQF Grade B or above
Advanced Certificate or National Certificate : Computing with Digital Media SCQF Level 6 plus National 5 Maths at Grade B or above

This course was developed in response to the current shortage of skilled software developers in Scotland , and offers an introduction to software development . It will introduce you to a range of subjects and skills that contribute to the design and development of good quality software .
