Delivered in partnership with Queen Margaret University , this programme is designed to provide a rigorous , academic area of study , enabling you to develop the necessary skills and understanding to progress in your career . You will graduate with the knowledge of the multi-disciplinary nature of working with young children and their families , as well as the importance of quality partnerships with parents and other agencies .
Entry Requirements
You must hold an HND in Childhood Practice or other Childcare based HND qualifications with Graded Unit at grade A or B and 240 SCQF credits
An Enhanced Disclosure Application will be required to complete the mandatory work placement element - this will be carried out by the College for successful applicants
Further Study
Delivered in partnership with Queen Margaret University , this degree programme is designed to provide a rigorous , academic area of study , enabling you to develop the necessary skills and understanding to register as a Lead Practitioner or Manager of Childcare Settings with the Scottish Social Services Council .
Entry Requirements BA : Childhood Practice SCQF Level 9
As this is a practice-based qualification , you must be employed in an Early Learning and Childcare setting throughout your studies and have your employer ’ s approval to undertake this qualification
