This course is designed for those who are working within the area of additional support needs ( ASN ) and wish to undertake further professional development . It is also for those who are considering entering this field , who have previously achieved a related HNC award ( or equivalent ). This is an intensive course of study with 18 SQA credits which are delivered over five full days and therefore requires a great deal of commitment and hard work to achieve .
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
HNC : Additional Support Needs : Supporting the Individual SCQF Level 7 ( G8P2 15 ) is preferred . However , its predecessor HNC : Supporting Learning Needs ( G5ML 15 ) may allow you to credit transfer for the current HNC ( G8P2 15 ) at the College ’ s discretion
In particular situations , you may instead have successfully completed one of the following :
HNC : Social Care SCQF Level 7
HNC : Health Care SCQF Level 7
HNC : Care and Administrative Practice SCQF Level 7
HNC : Childhood Practice SCQF Level 7
HNC : Early Education and Childcare SCQF Level 7
HNC : Social Services SCQF Level 7

This course provides the opportunity for those who have an HNC in Counselling to progress onto Year 2 of the HND . It has been designed to provide the relevant underpinning knowledge of theories and ethics required to progress in your career .

HNC Counselling SCQF Level 7 – no other counselling qualifications will be accepted

This degree course offers a progression route from HND : Additional Support Needs : Managing and Supporting the Services or HND : Social Sciences . The degree is delivered at Fife College in partnership with Abertay University and successful students will graduate with a degree awarded by Abertay University .
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
HND : Additional Support Needs : Managing and Supporting the Services SCQF Level 8 with graded unit 2 at C or above
HND : Social Sciences SCQF Level 8 studied at Fife College with graded unit at C or above
