This course gives you the creative production skills to get your own or your employer ’ s messages to a wider audience effectively .
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
PLUS
Foundation Apprenticeship : Creative and Digital Media SCQF Level 6 plus a National 5 at Grade C or above in English or Music
One Higher at Grade C or above from English , Media Studies , or Politics
National Certificate : Creative Industries : Broadcast Media SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Photography SCQF Level 6
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
A short show-reel or online portfolio would be an advantage
You may be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process This group / individual conversation may be an information session , a portfolio discussion , or a skills based exercise
You will be required to demonstrate a passion for communication and writing , as well as evidence of creativity and / or associated technical production skills

Graphic designers and visual communicators work creatively to convey a message or to enhance the user and / or consumer experience . Whether it is graphic design for online or printed ; infographics , digital advertising or more traditional mediums such as magazines , books , posters , web-pages , packaging etc ., creativity , design skills , creativity and imagination are essential to help ‘ amplify the message ’.
Entry Requirements
A comprehensive portfolio plus one of the following :
Two Highers at Grade C or above preferably from Art and Design , Craft and Design , English , Media , or Graphic Communication
Advanced Certificate : Graphic and Digital Design
National Certificate : Photography SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Art and Design SCQF Level 6
Mature students will be considered on an individual basis based on a portfolio of art and design work in their field of study and experience .

On this two year course you ’ ll develop the knowledge and professional skills required to work in the Radio and Broadcasting Industries . You will help run BOOM , our student radio station , support local radio stations as part of their street teams and more . Start your own Vlog or YouTube channel .

Two Highers from English , Modern Studies , or Media at Grade C or above plus two National 5s at Grade C or above ideally from Media or Music / Music Technology , Drama etc .
National Certificate : Creative Industries : Broadcast Media SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Sound Production SCQF Level 6
Other qualifications including creative or science / social science courses at SCQF Level 6
Mature students will be considered on an individual basis taking into account previous qualifications and experience
For direct entry to year 2 you must have achieved HNC : Creative Industries : Radio
