Digital app helps patients quit smoking
More than 700 patients are benefitting from a new app that supports them to quit smoking.
The Smoke Free app, now available across 13 trusts in the North East and Yorkshire, is offered to patients during their hospital stays and continues to support their quit journey once they return home.
“ Having support available at any time was important for me. Anxiety doesn’ t work to a schedule, and things can come up at any point in the day. Knowing the app was there, no matter what else was going on in my life, made it easier to keep going.”
