Addressing health inequalities
Life expectancy across Yorkshire and the Humber can vary by almost two years in comparison to the South of England . There has always been an intrinsic and unbreakable relationship between the economy and societal health : a strong economy is paramount to helping people to be healthy , whilst a healthy population is a critical part of a productive economy .
Our Head of Portfolio , Adele Bunch , explains how we have continued to engage with stakeholders during ongoing system pressures to understand the priorities of our Integrated Care Systems ( ICSs ) and local authorities to tackle inequality and provide support to improve the health of our most underserved communities across the region , including a new national Health Innovation Network Adele Bunch , programme which has generated Head of Portfolio £ 300k of funding for our region .
