SEPTEMBER 2017 Letter from the Editor Your Buckinghamshire magazine Front Cover: Brill fields See centre pages I’ve got a bit of an animal theme going on this month. There are lots of volunteer opportunities available at the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity and the RSPCA South Bucks branch, including in their Chesham, Burnham and Princes Risborough shops. Isn’t kitten Joey adorable (see page 12)? How could someone not want to give him a home? James and Chenice from JC Farming have sent us another snippet about life on the farm. You can read their article on page 10. 1,000 LEAFLET INSERTS WITHIN THIS MAGAZINE £40 LEAFLET DESIGN FROM £35 PRICES EXCLUDE VAT TEL: 07947 349134 [email protected] Editor Helen Gerrish Design Julia Roblett Print Hartgraph Litho MOBILE HAIRDRESSER 10 years salon experience If you want to avoid the oncoming autumn blues maybe pay a visit to the Amersham Travel Club (see page 57). They have some really interesting, informative, evenings and I personally love to hear about other people’s holidays. It’s always good to put some exotic location on the bucket list. There’s another Chiltern Walking Festival taking place mid Sept-mid October. (see page 17). I will certainly be going along and joining in with a few of these walks. The walks are guided so there isn’t any stress about getting lost. Roy and I took ourselves off to Brill in the Aylesbury Vale district recently. What a lovely little village this is. I wasn’t prepared for the 5ft high stinging nettles though and we did get a little bit lost. But it all ended well. You can read about our afternoon out in this month’s centre pages.
