Chiltern Open Air Museum’s
popular ‘Halloween
Spectacular’ returns
as part of Culture 24’s
Museums at Night.
This locally famous
night-time opening sees
the Museum’s historic
buildings decorated for
Halloween and inhabited
by costumed characters.
New for 2018, visitors can see a
fantastic LED, fire hoop and fire
poi performance and a spooky
horse show.
The Halloween Spectacular is the Museum’s largest event of the
year and the biggest fundraiser for the charity. Families, children and adults come
in brilliantly creative fancy dress costumes and, armed with torches and wellies, will
brave whatever horrors the Museum has in store for them!
• Spine-tingling scary stories around the fire in an Iron Age roundhouse
• Trick-or-treat the witch’s cottage
• Toasting marshmallows over the fire
• Halloween-themed crafts and activities
• Explore the scary woodland walk, but watch out for monsters and
beware of the dark…
Hot food and drinks will be available to
purchase on the night, and children (and
adults!) are encouraged to dress up for the
event in Halloween costumes with a prize
for the best!
