Established in 1904, Flackwell Heath Golf Club has been an ever present feature in
local village life since. It has always been a strong members club, but never locked
itself away from the local community. Recently, the Club has been actively reaching
out to residents, inviting them to visit and use the facilities. Over 5,000 flyers have been
distributed by the members themselves detailing offers for lunches, afternoon teas,
functions and of course golf. Another big effort is about to be undertaken to distribute
the Clubs autumn flyer regarding new membership categories and offers being
released. These are exciting times for Flackwell Heath Golf Club.
FHGC has long been established in the golfing community, annually holding one of the
largest and most successful Pro-Am events in the BB&O regional calendar. This October the
Club will also play host to the Autumn Meeting of the Professional Golfers Association’s
South Region. This is another flagship event and proof, if more was needed, of how highly
regarded the Club and its facilities are held.
Corporate golf days for large local businesses and charity fundraisers appear in the Club
diary annually. In August a golf event in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital was run by a
small group of members. The day was a huge success and, with the help of the Club, over
£9,000 was raised in a single day.
As autumn approaches, the Club are making new members their primary focus. Joining
offers and new categories of membership are available, with the intention of appealing to as
wide a range of people as possible. Very simply FHGC wants to become the venue of choice
for the local community. With stunning views over the Wye Valley, the bar and function room
are available at all times for parties, socialising or simply lunch. Everyone is welcome.
