Holtspur ’ s Legacy Orchard has been full of excited children . The peace and quiet shattered by screams of delight . The pear trees have produced our best crop yet and the apples are lovely and sweet . We have even shared this year ’ s bumper harvest with our loyal supporters at Kiln Court . To see the children ’ s faces when they reach their trees to find them laden with fruit makes the unseen hard work all worthwhile .
I can highly recommend counting just how many they can cram into their pristine , and probably brand new , jumpers before they spill over the floor like extra large marbles as a fabulous stress buster . It takes you right back to your own childhood and you can ’ t help but smile .
