Holtspur School’s pupils returned from their
summer holidays and immediately were out
harvesting their
fruit from the
orchard. Sadly
the plum trees
had excelled
themselves
towards the end
of the holiday and
just couldn’t hold
on any longer.
We had to remove a lot
of the fruit as the trees
were exhausted and
looking a little worse
for wear (know how
that feels!) but I’m
assured they will pick
up after a good dose
of feed.
One pupil from
Year 3 was almost
bursting with
excitement.
Whilst running through the
orchard to find his tree he
announced very loudly that it
really was “awesome” to have
your own tree.
