On return from their summer holidays the children were greeted by an orchard bursting
with fruit, at least on some of the trees. The apples have done well and for the first time we
have quite a few pears and plums. The children just love to dash down the rows to find the
sweetest to fill their baskets. I took a small selection of our wares to Mr & Mrs Chapman at
Kiln Court, our greatest supporters, who I know read this to keep up with what we are up
to. I do hope you enjoyed them and thank you so much for the beautiful rhododendron, it is
now planted outside our greenhouse.
We have entered
the first stage of the
competition to reach
the Chelsea Flower
Show next year
and if accepted we
should start planting
before we break up
at the end of the
year. Watch this
space to see if we
get through.
