with the National Trust at Cliveden
Cliveden’s gardens create a magnificent
winter landscape and as the leaves fall from
the trees the viewpoints reveal far-reaching
vistas over of the surrounding countryside.
For a more invigorating walk, head further
afield through the woods and enjoy views
into the valley and the snaking River Thames
below.
After a leisurely stroll, you can treat yourself
to a steaming cuppa with a cake or pastry
in the Dovecote Coffee House which is open
7 days a week or at the weekends, pop into
the Orangery Café to enjoy a hearty lunch.

Special three-course Christmas lunches
are also being served in the National Trust
Orangery on three Fridays in December for
those wanting to indulge in a pre-Christmas
treat (£24.95 per person, pre booking
essential).
If you’re searching for that extra-special
Christmas decoration or on the hunt for
perfect gifts, you’ll find plenty of ideas in the
gift shop, with an array of decorations and
treats to choose from as well as fresh holly
and mistletoe cut from the estate and locally
grown Christmas trees from early December.
