Core change is not achieved through resolutions, because conscious intention is not enough. The subconscious mind is responsible for 97% of what we create in our lives so if this is not aligned with our conscious mind, then of course the end result is, it doesn’t work! Recognise this and you realise you haven’t failed at all. It just runs deeper than that. If you recognise resolutions as a new haircut type of change, but removing subconscious blocks as deep internal core change, you have cracked it! You then understand that you really can create your own personal world exactly as you want. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Tapping as it is sometimes known, is a very powerful energy technique, which works by tapping the meridian points thereby clearing out these subconscious blocks stuck in the body’s energy system. EFT can help with anything including Physical Illness, Chronic Pain, Anxiety (eg Exam Nerves, Panic Attacks), Concentration, Depression, Eating Disorders, Food Cravings, Low Self Esteem, Phobias, Procrastination, Self Confidence, Shyness, Stress and Weight Loss. www.cascada-eft.com / 07818 052279 My EFT Session for Insomnia Until I met Susannah, I knew nothing about EFT, but I was intrigued and wondered if it might be a technique I could try to help resolve my Insomnia. I have always had problems going to sleep and since childhood, vivid, often frightening, recurring dreams would plague me on a regular basis. They have continued into adulthood and after losing my beautiful mother in 2009, the situation only exacerbated. I would dread bedtime and become anxious that I would be tossing and turning for hours. Everything always seems so much worse at night! Consequently, I began to rely on sleeping tablets on a regular basis to try to alleviate the problem. However, this was becoming too much of a habit, so any alternatives were most welcome. As a complete novice, Susannah explained the basic principles of EFT and I found her gentle, knowledgeable manner both reassuring and positive and this in turn helped me to feel receptive towards it. EFT is based on the principles of both ancient acupressure and modern psychology. By both tapping on specific meridian endpoints whilst voicing negative emotions, this helps restore energy balance in the body and rewire the brain in a healthier way. I equated it to a non-invasive form of traditional Acupuncture! Susannah asked me to try to visualise my Insomnia as a shape, a colour, a number out of ten (ten being the most severe), the place where I felt it sat in my body and how anxious it made me feel. We commenced the session and I followed Susannah’s lead by tapping on the points as she did at the same time repeating after her various statements about my problem and how I would like it to be resolved. It was very easy to follow and despite being a totally new experience for me, did not seem weird or “whacky”, but more relaxing - a bit like I imagine meditation to be. My Insomnia began as a “black circle, ten in severity and sitting within my stomach and chest. After the hour long session, this black circle had become “yellow, in a shape less circular, five and a half in severity and now in the front of my head!” Hard to explain, but nonetheless true. During the session, something else seemingly bizarre happened. As we tapped away, I began to feel an overwhelming compulsion to yawn. This came out of the blue and Susannah told me this was a great sign, as it meant that things were beginning to shift and blockages release. It really was quite a strange sensation! I found the whole experience fascinating and relaxing and that night I went to bed armed with a renewed confidence and sense of calm that I was on track to a more peaceful night’s sleep. Whilst the Sandman didn’t stay all night, there was most definitely an improvement after just one session!
