Following the success of the 2017 Buckingham Literary Festival, the line-up for 2018 has been announced and boasts some of the biggest names in literature and politics. 14th – 17th June 2018 The four day event, which takes place from Thursday 14th June to Sunday 17th June 2018, will bring an exciting mix of talks, discussions and entertainment to the beautiful market town of Buckingham. former MP and last Governor of Hong Kong, Chris Patten. Booker Prize winner Ben Okri will be discussing his latest poetry compilation, The Poetry of Protest, Lady Antonia Fraser will be in conversation with Antony Seldon with her new book, The King and The Catholics and satirist Craig Brown will be talking about his latest book, Ma’am Darling: 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret. Events will be held throughout the town at venues including the Villiers Hotel, the Radcliffe Centre and Buckingham Library. From the world of politics we welcome Lord Adonis, whose most recent book, 5 Days in May charts the creation of the coalition out of the dust of the Labour general election campaign, as well as John Bercow MP and There will be the opportunity for the audience to question the authors, meet them in person and get their books signed.
