Thank you from The Meadows School The Meadows school Summer Fair was a big success! We would like to thank D&P motors, Dolce Restaurant, Cafe Italia, Cutting edge, Hot flowers, Perkys Cafe, Wooburn pharmacy, Beaconsfield Old Town fryer, Fat Fish, Odds Farm Park, Wyevale Garden Centre, Simon Elvin, Seriously Fun Swimming, The Click Studios and Jonathan Hill at Wycombe Market for the helium balloons and all the kind donations towards the raffle. A special thank you to Kate from The Falcon pub for donating all the raffle money raised and, of course, to each and every one of you that donated, assisted and supported the fair. Thank you! Claytons Primary School held their own Election In June, when the UK public were heading to the polling stations to vote, the children from Claytons Primary School in Bourne End were holding their very own election. No conventional parties for them; year 6 created their own subject parties. On June 8th, the polls opened for all the children, from nursery to year 6. Each party presented their policies to the school in an assembly on Wednesday 24th May. The hustings then went out canvassing, persuading the voters to vote for them. There was a buzz of excitement running throughout the whole school. It’s a great way to learn about living in a democracy.
